A stumbling stone in memory of Jona von Ustinov, the father of our founder, can now be found on Wilhelmstrasse in Berlin.

We bow to his courage and also to the initiative of employees of the German Foreign Office. With 56 stumbling stones and one stumbling threshold, they commemorate the fates of NS-persecuted former members of the Foreign Service. In their research, they came across the fate of Jona von Ustinow (born 1892, dismissed 1935, fled in 1935). The small commemorative plaques were laid on Sunday, November 7, in front of the former headquarters of the then Reich Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ali Taşbaşı, board member of the Peter Ustinov Foundation, was present during the ceremony.
