The “Ustinov Junior Ambassador” project of the Sir Peter Ustinov Foundation gives young talents the opportunity to use their abilities for a good cause. By advocating for underprivileged children, the Junior Ambassadors help carry Sir Peter Ustinov’s values of empathy, community spirit, and responsibility into the world.
Since November 2024, the talented drummer and percussionist David Jacobi has been part of this prestigious circle. David has impressed audiences from a young age with his extraordinary musical talent and passion for music. As the dedicated drummer of the Hessian State Youth Jazz Orchestra’s Junior Selection and a member of the Caravan Big Band, he contributes to both regional and national music projects.
In 2023, David achieved a landmark victory by winning the “Youth Jazz” state competition in the “Drum Solo” category with an outstanding performance. Additionally, he completed the “Music Mentors for Hessen” program, which further shaped his musical and pedagogical skills. Currently, David is training under Paul Höchstädter, drummer for the HR Big Band. This collaboration enables David to develop his drumming skills to a professional level and further enhance his musical expressiveness.
David is an ideal Ustinov Junior Ambassador because he stands out not only for his exceptional musical talent but also for his strong social commitment.
As a passionate musician, he uses his abilities to reach and inspire people through various music projects. Furthermore, he actively supports his community through his volunteer work with the local fire department and his involvement in his church’s band. This combination of musical skill and social responsibility reflects the values of the Sir Peter Ustinov Foundation and makes him a perfect ambassador.
As a newly appointed Junior Ambassador, David is excited to put his music in the service of a good cause.
