The Population in Nepal Needs Support Again!
May 28, 2020
Since the devastating earthquakes in 2015, the majority of Nepal’s population has been living in poverty and uncertainty.
The situation in the country has worsened further due to the COVID-19 crisis and the associated measures.
Since March 24, 2020, a strict curfew has been imposed in cities and villages. Additionally, the borders with neighboring countries India and China, which serve as the main suppliers of food and medicine, are closed. As a result, millions of people are suffering from hunger.
Our partner in Kathmandu, Nepal Matri Griha (NMG), is currently distributing food and learning materials to needy families. Due to limited resources, priority is given to families whose children attend the NMG school.
Urgent additional humanitarian aid is needed.
