Mobile Teachers Visit Schoolchildren at Home

Our ECD school (Early Childhood Development) in the village of Butere, #Kenia, remains closed. Only a few #children from the graduating classes are allowed to attend school.

All other #children must learn at home on their own. Every Wednesday, Ms. Lukale, the headmistress, visits the schoolchildren in their homes to distribute homework and classwork. The children look forward to these visits eagerly, and even neighborhood children come excitedly to receive small learning tasks.

These mobile class sessions provide a welcome change in a stark everyday life marked by great poverty and hardship.
