Since the beginning of the year, the Peter Ustinov Foundation has been led by a dual leadership team. Alongside the existing board member Marie Korbel, Ali Taşbaşı now joins as a co-director.

The Board of Trustees of the Peter Ustinov Foundation has appointed Ali Taşbaşı as a member of the foundation’s board. Ali Taşbaşı has been active on the foundation’s council since 2019 before being appointed to the board.

“I thank the Board of Trustees for their trust and look forward to working with the Board of Trustees, with my fellow board member Ms. Marie Korbel, and the entire team. Young people need a perspective, regardless of their ethnic origin, religion, and social status. Access to education is a crucial key to enabling children and teenagers to develop their own personalities and talents and to have prospects for the future. The Peter Ustinov Foundation has supported and promoted this for over 20 years. It is, therefore, a special honor for me to contribute to the board of the foundation,” said Ali Taşbaşı.

“2021 would have been my father’s 100th birthday. We are very pleased that Ali Taşbaşı followed our wish to become a board member in the centennial year, thus completing the board. Ali Taşbaşı has many years of experience in the economy and in international markets and cultures, which he will bring into the successful development of the foundation,” said Igor Ustinov, chairman of the Board of Trustees.

“Ali Taşbaşı brings new impulses and a fresh perspective to the foundation, which is why I am very much looking forward to working with him,” added Marie Korbel, the Chairwoman of the Board.
